Let's see...an update.
OK.
Still no progress with life in the ward, let's just leave it at that. Found a patient for my case write-up though, but have neither clerked nor examined her. Supposed to pass it up within this week. Owh yeah, I embarrassed myself in front of the Endocrine & Breast team yesterday when Mr. S asked me a few thyroid questions that took me (over exaggerating) an hour to answer. It was in front of 3rd year and 5th year students, Housemen, Registrars and Specialists. Wow, can anyone look any dumber?
In terms of activities, I overdid it this time. I just accepted all the offers to be in this and that and ended up not knowing a few of the deadlines. Silly. I didn't know SUKEM futsal was this Saturday and Sunday (9-10 Jan '10). That will definitely clash with the Clinical Booth program for Warisan Mesra and the PERSIAP Annual Grand Meeting (AGM) the following day. Aside from that, I've got dance practice to boot. Yup, volunteered to join the tarian tradisional thingy for the EAMSC opening ceremony 14th Jan '10. Those, will clash with my futsal and netball practice. SUKEM netball is in Feb, so at least that'll provide some gap. The thing that's stressing me out the most is the banner for AGM. It can't be done this week, so we're gonna have to find another place outside of UKM to make the banner TODAY!! It has to be done by this Thursday, readily hung. Shit. Thank God my friend Ain helped me out with the posters this morning, otherwise my brain will stop functioning due to the workload. Btw, as one of the AJK Protocol for the Warisan Mesra Dinner this Saturday, we are to invite Profs, Docs and lecs and also ask for "sumbangan" from them. That sumbangan part is very hard to do. Not only do we ask them to pay RM100 if they wanna come, they also have to give more money. Most docs that we approached voiced their disbeliefs and Assila and I just tebalkan muka je =((( and so far, none want to go and 2 are gonna give money. That's only for the JKM department. Medicine department, none of the docs were in their office. Crap.
In terms of social life - which of course I can tell you with a straight face that I don't really have one, just the usual going out with friends to catch up on all the hot movies that are out, eating out and stuff. And about H, we grew apart. We haven't gone out much of late. I have a feeling that things aren't gonna work out between us. We both want different things, and we see things too differently. I will have to return his external hardisk one of these days and face the music. The last conversation we had was a question that I asked and was never answered by him. Whatever.
Life at home, pretty simple and quiet now. Alhamdulillah, Tok Mum is way stronger than before. Tok Wan is his usual self (kalau tak ada kerja, cari kerja. That's what he always says). Mommy's starting work now, and juggling time to help fulfill Toks' every need with, no help whatsoever by her "brother". Ritz is now in Jempol, N9..National Service. Wonder how he's doing? Is he still having those sinus attacks? Is he eating right? Has he shaved his head yet? Touched an M16? lol. Daddy and family are making a small birthday party for Daniel this Friday. I hope I can make it, coz I will definitely be back late due to a few unforeseen circumstances. Jenna is happily going out and spending time with friends during the weekends - Dina, Azie, Shaz, Cita, Hayyan and the newcomer Shafiq (wink2 haha). Me? I just stay home, watch TV and eat (of course help around the house too when needed).
.life without things to do is not living, l e n a.
