Lovesick Melody

Hola muchachas miantas! (no, it's not latin nor spanish. I made it up.)

I often wonder whether true love really exists. I've always believed that when two people get attracted to one another, the physical attraction comes first. Be it, the eyes, the hair, the face or even the body (the most prominent feature). It's always physical. Why? That's probably because a person presents him or herself physically first - after being introduced, or being noticed from a distance. We call this The First Impression. So, after that it depends solely on either one of the parties involved. They might get stuck on the other party's physical side OR get to know him or her better and prepare to get attracted to his or her other qualities. I prefer the latter of course, for I lack the former quality.

All this IS interesting of course for those who have that unique "outward show". So, the downside of this depressing reality is for US people that lack that 'beauty' trait. If all the guys in this world turn heads toward the beauties, what of the a-beauties? What did we do to deserve this sort of response? Beats me. If I knew, i'd probably do something about it.

However, I do understand why physical attraction is so powerful. It is actually human nature to enjoy gazing at beautiful things. We love to see all things that are perfect. It's the artists that enjoy flaws and imperfection, maybe because perfection is boring. (especially for their free-willed minds.)

So how do we change our frame of mind? Will there ever be a physical attraction secondary to personality attraction? The answer is YES! Experience, people, teach us everything from what to look for and what not to look for in a person. I've known some people that are tired of looking at people with good looks because of previous experiences with their "good looking exs".

Ahhh...another factor that plays an important role. And I quote "Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder". In plain english, beauty is a rather subjective matter. What one might think beautiful, might not be beautiful through someone else's perspective. That simple. So, now we know why there are couples of which I call, the positive positive (+ve)(+ve), negative negative(-ve)(-ve) and positive negative (+ve)(-ve). I don't think I want to elaborate much on that, I'm afraid if some people might hate me for this contoversial theory. But, I think some of you might understand what i'm getting at.

Well, anyway. My raya cuti just started today. I'm waiting for Leanna to pick me up, she said she'll be arriving here around 9.50pm. I haven't packed my junk yet, so i'd best get a move on ay? Aite, later! l e n a out!

By the by, here's a lil something I picked up from a bulletin at Friendster.
Before you read this, i'd like to ask you one simple question.
"Does such a man exist?"
If he does, and if you're my friend...please...please...give him MY number! haha

Every girl dreams that one day she will find a guy that does these things for her. even the smallest action can have the BIGGEST impact in someones life.

• give her one of your t-shirts to sleep in.
• leave her cute text notes.
• kiss her in front of your friends.
• tell her she looks beautiful.
• look into her eyes when you talk to her.
• let her mess with your hair.
• touch her hair.
• just walk around with her.
• FORGIVE her for her MISTAKES.
• look at her like she's the only girl you see.
• tickle her even when she says stop.
• hold her hand when you're around your friends.
• be the one to take her hand, don't make her reach for you
• be the one to call her, don't make her always call you
• when she starts swearing at you, tell her you love her.
• let her fall asleep in your arms.
• get her mad, then kiss her.
• tease her and let her tease you back.
• stay up all night with her when she's sick.
• watch her favorite movie with her.
• kiss her forehead.
• give her the world.
• write her letters.
• let her wear your clothes.
• when she's sad, hang out with her.
• let her know she's important.
• let her take all the photos she wants of you.
• kiss her in the pouring rain.
• when you fall in love with her, tell her.

Homesick Undergraduate

Arrrggghhhh!

Peepz! What lah. I'm so bored dey. I know I have PBL (Problem-based learning) to finish and it's due tomorrow morning at 8. But I can't focus adi. For the past few days, it's been sleepang, sleepung, sleeping. My finals is like, what, 3 weeks after raya? And here I am, sleeping away. Owh, you know what else sucks? I FAILED for my fudging MS (Medicine Society) Minitest II paper the other day. It carries mark for the final paper nanti. Eventhough I got 60% for the first Minitest, I still have hell to do to make sure I pass for the final exam. I don't understand why MS has to exist. I mean, yeah, I get it. We will be using this. But the period of time they give us to actually understand the statistical basis of MS is seriously not sufficient.

A friend of mine, Anis said we should all (all = Ainul, Temoh, Fatin, Chupa or whoever it is who's interested in joining) do a lil get together before the finals. Learn, understand and practice together. Sounds good. But I would have to sacrifice at least ONE day of my study week. (study week = a week or more of no classes, right before finals) But this is only for MS lah. If for the other Modules, We'll just have to wait and see. I prefer study groups, especially with Ainul and Fatin coz last year we did it when they were staying at KTSN 1 (main dorm, we call duduk dalam)..I saw an improvement in my grades. Now, Both of 'em are staying at KTSN 2 (we call, duduk luar). That's like, far away from my dorm. So, it's difficult to do study groups. All 5 of 'em Ainul, Anis, Chupa, Fatin & Temoh live together in one house there. When I say house, it's not really a house house, but more of a mini apartment/flat thingy. They have 2 rooms (3 in one room, 2 in the other), 1 toilet and a kitchen that's attached to the study room + living room.

I've only slept over at their place 2 times. So far, it's ok. I just can't figure out where to sleep sometimes due to lack of space for a 6th party. But they make me feel comfortable there and that's all that matters. They make me feel happy, and not without friends. It's cool hanging out with them coz they're really funny. Humor is not a good enough word to describe this gang. Funny but absurd at times, in a good way of course =)

(Chupa & Me) + (Ainul, Fatin, Temoh, me and Anis)

Staying at KTSN 1 really, really makes me anti-social. This is because the medical students that stay here aren't really the type of crowd i'm used to hangout with. Don't get me wrong, most of them are really nice. But it's just me I guess. I'm not really in their circle, and I regard that as my fault actually. I'm too caught up with my family and the friends that I already have consequently, I overlook my bond with the other coursemates. Nevermind, I have another 3-4 years to do that I guess. I just hope at least one of my close friends will stay at the main campus next year. Sometimes I just feel left out when they talk about something I don't know and stuff.
Anyway, I guess I'd better hit the showers now. (Yeah, I didn't take a shower yet. So what? lol) I'll be busy doing my PBL tonight, but of course leaving my YM on, just to checkout who else is online. That's all folks! l e n a out!

the harmony that echos my self-worth

GREETINGS earthlings!

I just listened to one of the most beautiful songs ever written and created (for me that is). It makes me feel superb! So, it got me thinking. What is it about music that makes you think and feel? Is music some form of hypnotism that entrances us normal people into feeling all sorts of emotions? Is it the combination of melodies? The lyrics? The delicious voice singing it? I would really like to know. Because the song that I am referring to is actually and oldies that was recently re-created by Michael Buble. A song called "Me and Mrs. Jones". I don't know what it is about that song that just makes me feel so wonderful inside. Like I told Leanna and Jenna a few days ago, "This song makes me feel beautiful and sexy" haha. I know, what a joke right? But, truth be told I do feel that way. I felt that way then, i'll feel it again the next time I hear it. And I will DEFINITELY experience the same emotions again and again until I finally get bored of the song and hop to another song that might initiate a different sentiment.

For me however, the sensation I felt for the song Me and Mrs. Jones probably wouldn't have anything to do with the lyrics. That's because it's about these two people (Buble and Mrs. Jones) having an affair, both of which are currently in a relationship. (Buble with his lady, Mrs. Jones with her Mr. Jones) They meet everyday at the same cafe at 6.30pm discretely, without each of their partners knowing (Hence the word 'affair' - Duh!).This song is morally wrong, but the passionate sensation is very, VERY good. Somehow I can actually sense their bond, chemistry and attraction to one another when I listen to it. The plot I imagined is also interesting. I envisioned the '50-'60s great American era. I see a very conservative, ladylike, proper fashion sense for Mrs. Jones. No short skirts. Gloves for evening and social occasions. Petticoats and girdles. Hats. (maybe the infamous Jackie Kennedy pillbox hat with netting or veils) all that.

Anyway, there's only one word to describe Michael Buble's version...D-licious! haha. For those of you who have self-esteem problems, I recommend this song. LOL! Alright, that's it for now. l e n a out! =D

...and it begins...

Karasta!

Today, i drank Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks Carrefour in a to-go cup! YAY! haha. I don't know why it looks so good when i watch people on TV drinking coffee in a to-go cup. It makes me want to drink one too! Just like watching people in movies eating chinese food in that white-to-go-box thingy with their chopsticks. (I envy Jenna for her opportunity to do so at an Indonesian restaurant somewhere in Europe)

Anyway, i went with Mommy, Jenna, Leanna and Ritz (of course, since my life like, totally revolves around them) It was right after our buka puasa at SECRET RECIPE. I ordered the Fish & Chips, considering the fact that i wasn't feeling that hungry today. If i were hungry, i would've ordered the Spaghetti or Lasagne or something more filling than JUST Fish & Chips. And for the drinks, i orderes OREO Milkshake! My favorite milkshake there. I know, I know...what happened to my balanced D.I.E.T.?? That's out the window, for now. You see, i sorta have an "MC" for fasting if you know what i mean. hehe. This is like the 2nd or 3rd time i buka puasa there already. and i don't mind. Coz I LOVE IT! (hence, the song "i'm loving it - J.T." is being played in my mind)

Owh, and another thing. I've been checking Ritz's guitar playing progress. I think he's doing great! He can play Cromok's famous instrumental piece called "Another You" and he's only a beginner. I have a feeling he'll do well. It's just too bad he didn't start playing that song sooner for his audition in school. He could've knocked Pn. Sureini's tudung off her head. Ha Ha!

Well, that's pretty much it for tonight. (11.25pm...yeah, still considered night time) I'll blog more soon. I don't have the time now. I'm in a bit of a rush right now coz we have to go back to our Kelana Jaya @ K.J apartment. Ahhhh... i'll take a photo of my room there. It's small, but very, VERY the cozy wan. Alright, so til then, GOODNIGHT!
