time for a nap

Dear Blog,

Yup, that's right. It's time for me to take a break from all this dating crap. Had enough for a while. Like Big Bro said, I'm in that period where I should be concentrating on my studies. Dating, would be a major distraction. He would know, of course. He just got out of a very, very 'misunderstood' relationship.

Relationships, people, are very tedious. If you can't even straighten you're own life, how do you expect to take care of someone else's? That's prolly my scenario right now. I've got all kinds of crap going on in my life. People say I release some sorta negative vibe around me and it's pushing a few people away. Only my family and friends, the people who know me, know better.

So, it's time to take a shut-eye from this. 3R. Who knows, I might be a better person when I wake up from this hibernation.

Time to put up that F-off sign on my forehead (like Eva Mendez in Hitch) and scare people away. Feels good. Don't need to layan people for now.

Come to think about it, whatever I'm saying right now could be that barrier everyone's been talking about. You know...the barrier that shields you so you don't get hurt anymore. I have no clue whatsoever whether I'm saying all this because I'm OK and feeling stronger, or I'm just being egotistical. Either way, it is what it is.

BTW, currently playing Resident Evil 5 (RE5) on PS3. Feels good shooting 'em virus-infected people. I play Sheva (the African woman, Chris's new partner). Yeahh, RE5 is awesome coz it's 2 players now. AND, I'm still getting high frags on CS (eat that suckas!). awp map and fry pool day is the best map to play at. One, is a sniper stage whereas the other is storming the front. 2 tactics that I love best.

The best therapy after getting hurt?...shooting people, haha.

.thank God I don't own a gun, l e n a.

p/s: I realized I wrote 3 important words that rhyme together....Nap, Crap and Map. Cool.

moving on

Dear Blog,

He didn't know.

So I laid it out on the table.

And now I know.

If this can hurt, I wonder how hurtful and painful breakups must feel.

However, even though I'm hurting right now I feel as though there's a heavy burden being lifted off my chest. I can now move on after learning the truth. Thank You, for being honest with me =)

Take care, it was great knowing someone like you.

.go on, get going. l e n a.

MyVi-Va

Dear Blog,

Received a call from Leanna 2 days ago. She's in the W** 1530 Black GANGSTA Viva, hehehe. Too bad, she got to merasmikan the car before me, dang hehe. So, I'm already back in KTDI right now (I'm sure you've guessed that since I am only able to Blog here rather than Tg. Karang where there's seldom any internet access)

Leanna'll be picking me up later after her errands at the bank (F.Y.I: she doesn't work there, just gotta settle some stuff for her prep to further her studies in Wales). I'm pretty sure she'll be using the Viva.

Hmmm...what to call it eh?

Leanna's Baby K was given after it's first name Baby Kelisa.

Jenna's MyVi was named D.D., after it's Starbucks window stickers Dandy Darwin a.k.a. Dandylion (is that how you spell it??) and another reason (I can't state what or else Jenna'll have my head for buka puasa later lol).

I want a cute name, but not that "girlie-girlie" cute. Just cute, coz it's small. And, possibly something that suits my personality. It has too be short too. I can't have it being called a "thing-a-ma-jigger", I can hardly pronounce it.

Here's how it's spose to look like:

Viva ELITE 1.0
Pearl Black with front grille
Foglamps
Spoilers
Skirting
Sport rims - will be changed, hopefully. But Perodua provides the basic 14 inch 165/50 if not mistaken. Macam tayar mainan.
Black and Red Ottawa Senators dice dangling from the rear view mirror
Maybe wanna put one of those solar thingies, that move up and down and stuff upon receiving light energy on the dashboard

OK, description is definitley not enough. Maybe a bit of my personality with cars?

I love to drive fast
Love a good small car so I can selit-selit anywhere I want to
Whoever bullies me, I bully them back (I know, Leanna keeps telling me that's dangerous driving)
I respect those who respect others on the road

Ummm...yeah, this is not quite working. Maybe I'll just take a good look at the car later and if there's fate, then the name'll pop right out! =)

Wanna take a nap for a while. I skipped class today, whoops haha. Left Tg. Karang at 7.30am, tumpang Kak Ain and Fatin was there too. I learned something, not only experienced drivers drive dangerously but the inexperienced as well.

But, the danger differs.

Experienced drivers are good at handling the wheel, they can sense danger a mile away. The outcome only depends on both the situation and how the driver reacts. A good driver is competent behind the wheel and also does not endanger other drivers. They use indicator lights when necessary and they know which lanes to stick to before every exit. The only problem is, most of these people love driving fast, so they tend to tail-gate and swerve left and right at the very last minute...which is so very dangerous.

Inexperienced drivers drive slow and are careful, TOO careful until they can't control any unexpectancies. They'll get all jittery and nervous when a car suddenly swerves in front of them, they hesitate when wanting to switch lanes and they often accidentally drive outside their lane - which is dangerous for themselves and other cars beside them.

OK, I'm no expert really. This is just through my observations as a Subang driver. Trust me, if you can survive driving in Subang, you can survive driving anywhere else. That place is just as crazy as KL and Penang.

Alritey peepz, time for some shut-eye. Nitey! or..Morning!

.nice guys don't finish last if they drive fast, l e n a.

HisVi? or MyVi?

Dear Blog,

Dad found out about the scratch marks
on his W** 5576 MyVi.
I thought I'd be dead,
guess I was just...dead wrong.

I'm still alive. Still breathing.

Always expect the worst, that's what Jenna tells me all the time (we sound like pessimists, don't we?)

So how did the car get those long, long scratches at both sides? Back to front or front to back - whichever way you see it.

It was during a fine day at Tanjung Karang, doing one of those surveys with my group for our field-posting. In summary, here's what happened:

We were assigned to Lorong 23.
The kampung road was damn narrow.
There were leaves and trees jutting out towards the road from left and right.
MyVi has a big butt.
Car got scratched everywhere.
The End.

'Ol Daddy-O ain't lending me the car anymore, says I'ma hafta bring Baby K to Tg Karang from now on. OK with me. Thanks for not yelling btw, even though you did sorta raise your voice on the phone. Which is fine by me, coz that's wayyy better than yelling in my book.

I'll just have to use Baby K til I get my Viva next weekend. Yay! =)

Selamat Berbuka Puasa + Bersahur for tomorrow in advance!

.Viva 4ever, l e n a.

super rings...thoo-per duper yummy

Dear Blog,

No caramel macchiato for me tonight, it's just a grande hot chocolate with vanilla pumps. Gots ta get me some sleep y'know?

Tonight, I drove all the way from Tanjung Karang back to Subang all by my-lonesome-self. It was scary coz the roads are fairly lit by street lights and the cars there were driven by maniacs - wanting to take-over every car in sight. Can you say 'Psycho'?

Initially, I was scared. Driving alone meant I'll be talking to myself, singing to myself out loud, or hearing myself think to myself (does that make any sense?). AND! Believe this, I'm scared of...GHOSTS!

However, that's like awal-awal je. Then, I heard myself thinking, "uhh, hell-O...ni bukan dah start bulan puasa ke? aren't all 'em scary stuff spose to be like, tied up or something?"

So, after that I cranked up the volume and sang along to Corinne Bailey Rae's tune - ignoring anything imaginery seen with my peripherals (I have a very wild imagination, thank you) I was only accompanied by the Super Rings I bought while filling the tank at a Shell station, which are now safely digested in my system.

Well, today's entry - very unproductive. I'm losing my touch. I don't seem to have that blogging feeling nowadays. Something's bugging me, at the back of my mind I guess.

BTW, did I mention that guys suck? Well, they do. LOL.

Devil drives Viva

Dear Blog,

Am at Starbucks, sipping on some grande caramel macchiato and munching on that meat breakfast thingy - which I ended up getting the egg set instead. Wha' the?

My dad finally budged. He's gonna buy me the new Elite Viva, Black pearl..manual (yes!) It'll be ready next week I guess. Even though it's just a Viva, but hey, it's still a car. My own car! =D

Will be watching G.I. Joe tonight with KuE. Initially, we planned on watching...Setem...but the last show at Pyramid is 6.45pm (phew! lol). He would be barely done with work that time, so we settled for G.I. Joe, 10.30pm. It's an acceptable alternative right? Leanna said the movie was good.

Don't really know what G.I. Joe's all about. I've known it from elementary school boys and action figures, but never knew whether it was really from a movie, cartoon or comic books. How ignorant of me.

Hope it's worth watching tonight.

I'll be off to Melaka this Sunday with Leanna, Izzet and their friends, skipping my fieldwork on Monday (hahaha). I gave my friend, Mar my Logbook - incase there is a need for the staff's signature =D I'll be back in Tanjung Karang Monday evening the latest, don't worry people (as if they are worrying)

I dunno what it is we're gonna do there, but heard there was like a theme park or something? A Famosa something? We'll be staying there overnight, so they got this cheap bargain, staying at a hotel with each of us coffing up at about rm40 only. Not bad. I'll be bringing my "baby" (says KuE) so, do expect a few pictures being uploaded at Facebook later on.

it's ok

Dear Blog,

I would like you to listen to Vanessa Hudgens - Say OK

Then, maybe you'll understand. Jenna says that this song suits me, for what situation I cannot say. Listen to the music, listen to the words.

.runaway, l e n a.

p/s: finished Tuesdays with Morrie. I didn't cry til it was almost the end of the book. The prof's disease progression was sorta symbolic for how precious time is to man and how one's thoughts and wonders may change as THAT time approaches. Right at the end, all that matters is to accept your fate...no matter what. There are so many life lessons in that book, and I seriously recommend it to whomever that enjoys a good thinking about anything, coz that's what it's mostly about...LIFE. Next book, five people you meet in heaven

re-re-read

Dear Blog,

Since JKM = Holiday.

I am doing what it is I do during my hols - READING!

Call me a geek, nerd, or a loser - I couldn't care less.

I love books, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Ok, so currently reading Mitch Albom's Tuesdays With Morrie. This book has great reviews and is highly recommended by friends and family. What the heck, right?

It's never too late to start reading any kind of novels.

I've novel-hopped from children's books to teenagers, young adult to really, really thick novels. Mystery and Romance were the all-time favs. Now, I'm leaning more towards novels that are meaningful. Ones that can make you cry all by your-lonesome-selves. Ones that make you think and reflect about life and all its lessons. Ones that make you cherish having the people you love around you and making you love them even more.

That's why I've started reading Mitch Albom books. I've finished his novel For One More Day and that made me cry. It's really sad. The way it was written, was beautiful. I felt every regret, pain and sorrow the the ex-major league baseball player felt. When he and his mother reunited, it was unbearable. Chest and throat constriction and all, I was determined to finish that thin book in one day (slept at 2.30am, eventhough I had class the next morning).

My friend Moh said Tuesdays With Morrie will make me cry worse, compared to the previous book I read. So, can't wait for that. After this book, it's Five People You Meet In Heaven (or something like that, don't remember). I love JKM posting! I get to read non-medical books again =)

.knowledge is the beacon of hope, l e n a.
Dear Blog,

"Bugger off!", that's what I would say to him if I were a cast in the movie Harry Potter.

I really don't enjoy blogging about this, but I feel as though people out there might not understand what it is that's bothering me.

This dude better come clean about what the heck he wants. I'm so confused. What a donkey (him...not me. duh~).

Anyway, in Baseball, you're only allowed to have 3 strikes and you're out.

This dude has been cheating off the pitch and been giving some extra dough to the umpires, coz I could've sworn this is the last inning with 3 strikes already. Aiyo.

Can you please save me from this torment and end my misery by telling me the truth?

.pening, l e n a.

a different approach?

Dear Blog,

Am at dad's, going off soon to watch Leanna's bf play field hockey at UITM.

Just a quick question...

Am I difficult to approach? I think I am. I've been observing for some time now, and I find that most people are either afraid OR they don't know how to approach me.

I don't really understand why. I mean, I smile a lot nowadays (compared to last time, when my face is always a frown). I even come up to friends randomly now, just to talk and make silly jokes and stuff. But, people still keep backing off.

I wouldn't want this to go on, what sorta first impression do I portray? It would be even difficult if my future patients are unable to confide in me. How to fix this...this...flaw of mine?

.wonder, l e n a.

the one, the done and the tonne

Dear Blog,

Long time no see!

Anyway, I haven't blogged in awhile due to the tenat-ness that is my internet connection at Tanjung Karang.

Yup, that's right people! I'm currently posted in Tanjung Karang for my community medicine (JKM).

What's cool about it?
  • It's like a friggin' 8-week vacation from all those wards and scary doctors down in PPUKM.
  • There's air-cond in EVERY room!
  • I'm getting to know alotta other students in the same posting (eratkan silaturrahim)

What's not cool about it?
  • It's H1N1 endemic there, with 1 previous death and many, many confirmed cases.
  • 6 (and counting) of my coursemates there have been sent home for quarantine
  • There's a terrible haze going on (all around M'sia actually)
  • Lectures are boring (spend my time sleeping a lot)

I won't be blogging much from now on. Writer's block. So, enjoy your lives people! Take care, bye!

anger management

Dear Blog,

Going to and fro between UKM and Subang was annoying tonight.

JPJ and the damn Police made a road block after a round-a-bout and congested the road by turning a 4 laned road into a 1 laned road. How POed did I get? Very.

Here's another one.

As I was driving at a speed of 40-60km/h at that narrow road of Jalan Yaacob Latif where it's packed with parked cars at the side and middle - thanks to Downtown Cheras, I suddenly had Baby K's ABS put to test. Why?

Because this irrational mother of two suddenly crossed the road without even looking left and right. She and her 2 kids just came out of nowhere between parked cars and ran across the street, whilst I was accelerating.

Like holy crap! What if I wasn't looking up ahead? What if...my brakes weren't working? What if one of her kids tripped on some rock and fell? My many "What if's" cannot be any excuse for a mother to act so irresponsible and put her children in danger incase anything did happen. But, Alhamdulillah nothing did. The best part is, she left her daughter behind chasing after her and was half lifting, half pulling her son with her left hand. That was the side where I was coming from. To me, that seemed silly for if anything happened, the son would be the first to go.

Haihh. So stupid.
