one of God's dumbest creations

Dear Blog, (note: long blog. read if you want. OR don't read, like i care.)

Let's cut to the chase shall we? That dumb creation would be me.

Remember the RM50 incident where I said that  that was the dumbest thing I have ever done? Well, I never imagined I would have done anything dumber than that in a lifetime...better yet, in just 1-2 months time.

So, here I am waking up from slumber doing those normal daily routines. I'm from my Kelana Jaya apartment (KJ) btw. My 'departure' time for Cheras would be not later than 6.30am, though today is a Saturday no jam is to be expected on the Federal Highway I still make it a habit of leaving before 6.30am  "JUST IN CASE".

Notice my capital letters? Well, that 'in case' was just now.

So yeah, went to the car park on the 2nd floor (note: thank you so much Daddy for getting that extra parking lot for if i had parked outside, i would have wasted even MORE time just going to and fro our apartment)
and unlocked my car, open the door behind the driver's seat and put my backpack on the car floor, all the while holding all keys (car key, apartment keys and card swipe) in my right hand.

This is my usual routine.

Today...just so happens to be an UNUSUAL day.

Instead of slamming the door shut and living happily ever after, I don't know how or when...my stupid thumb accidentally pressed the LOCK button on my car remote thingy while I was putting my backpack on the backseat. So, when I noticed my car's indicator lights blinking, I knew that awful car alarm will go off pretty much soon. When I slightly nudged the door to close, I fumbled around with my right hand quickly to get the car remote thingy to stop the car alarm from going off.

Suddenly I noticed that my stupid car key was NOT in my right hand, only the KJ apartment keys and card swipe. When I looked through my stupid car window did I realize the keys got snagged on my backpack and was therefore STUCK between the backseat of my car and my backpack.

At this very moment I was able to stop my door from closing halfway. Yay? Not yay.

Because I accidentally pressed the LOCK button prior to this Godforsaken incident (and only God knows why and when), even with the door only closed halfway, it is still LOCKED! So, while I tried opening the stupid door, jerking it, breaking it down somehow..the door was still STUCK!. and...the alarm was still ringing and it annoyed me SO MUCH.

Alotta things were going through my  mind at that time... like:

How the hell did I accidentally press that stupid button?
How in the world did my keys get snagged on my backpack?
How do I open this stupid door?
What do I do now? Does someone have a 2nd car key?
Am I gonna be able to attend MeCCa? (some introduction to housemanship programme starts at 8am later!)
How do I stop this noisy alarm from going off?? - I bumped the door with the side of my butt so it closes fully and therefore alarm...stopped ringing coz all doors were sealed tight.

and finally...with the alarm stopped ringing and echoing in my empty head, I was able to think clearly.

Who do I call?

At the top of my head...of course it was...Daddy. LOL. But, I didn't wanna wake him up unnecessarily and bother his slumber and "tak nak menyusahkan" (my family's favorite phrase). It was 6.30am...well, by then it was around 6.40am.

The second on my list was PERODUA. I remember Daddy giving me an "autoemergency call card" that I kept in my wallet...and let me quote what's stated on the front and back:

FRONT
"PERODUA - Building Cars People First" - wahoo, that brought my hopes up.

BACK
"For inquiries & feedback call : 1-800-88-6600" - ahhh...here's the number! Owh wait...let's finish the sentence first....

"8.30am-5.30pm" *shoot! it's 6.40am!*

"Monday to Friday" *yippie, it's a Saturday!*

owh wait, THERE'S MORE!

"For breakdown & accident call SMART ASSIST auto emergency" - ok

"1-800-88-5555, 24-Hours, 7 days a week" - Alhamdulillah. Ada jugak orang cari rezeki on weekends 24/7

calling....busy
calling....busy
calling....busy
calling....busy
calling....BUSY!! - Wow. What 24/7 world do they live in??

OK.

Third person on my list. Sarah. I had to borrow Sarah's car to go to Cheras. No choice. I've wasted time enough. So I ran to the elevators and called Daddy on the way. He didn't pick up. Nvm, just had to borrow Sarah's car.

When I arrived I woke Sarah up (by throwing tantrums) and ultimately Daddy called right at that moment (wow...suddenly there are people living in this world. funny, i thought i was pretty much crawling the face of the earth alone)

I explained to Daddy (on the phone) and Sarah about what happened at the same time. Ok, explained is an understatement. I might've...yelled? Lol. Hey, I panicked OKAY?

Then Daddy said he might have an extra key. But, I can't wait coz my program starts at 8am. So, I told both Sarah and Daddy that I'm leaving for Cheras soon with Sarah's car. Gotta go, BYE!

I apologized for waking Sarah up and for borrowing her car leaving her with a car containing the keys INSIDE!

I text Daddy while I was driving to Cheras, apologizing for the trouble and that it ain't urgent anymore since I'm able to go to UKM with Sarah's car and attend this MeCCa thing. So, I'll deal with this car thing later in the day or when I get back or something.

PPhhewwwwwwww!

I just had to get that off my chest. Gotta get ready for MeCCa. Bye

.l e n a, the dumbshit...out~.
