tall tale

Dear Blog,

Just arrived me dorm an hour ago. Yay. (note the sarcasm?)

Well, what a weekend.

I think it had been a productive one (in terms of family and socially lah. education wise...a big no-no).

I spent quality time with my family (as always)
Belanja them KFC coz kesian tengok Tok Mum & Tok Wan, asyik makan nasi je. (Believe me, my family and I aren't really fond of rice)
Played pool with Sarah, Izzet and Razini. Went for a drink-drink with Raz afterwards.

STOP RIGHT THERE!

I'd like to comment a bit about that drink-drink session with my friend Raz.

Raz, is a friend. Just a friend. He had a silly crush on me since Standard 2. And that crush went on off, on off throughout the years. Now, I'd like to believe that we're just friends. I tried going out with him last night, to sorta test the waters (I'm mean, I know). So, turnsout... No chemistry there. Phew~

OK, where was I?..Right.

Had an open family talk with Toks, Mommy, Intan, Sarah and Ritz about life and all its' experiences. Tok Wan actually told us a really great story about his experience from being a teenager to how he met Tok Mum and started working for the embassy. It was so sweet and cool. He told us about his experience during zaman penjajah and all too, which was double cool.

He explained to us that a few years before the Japanese took over our tanah air, they were already in our lands. They were in disguise as barbers, dentists, shopkeepers and stuff. A few days or weeks before they invaded us, those shops vanished. And they came back later as Generals and Commanders. Talk about scouts and spies. Pretty awesome. There were actually 2 phases during the Japanese invasion..

1st Phase:
Korean forces under the Japanese commands were the violent ones. They cheat, steal and raped women.

2nd Phase:
Japanese forces took over. They were actually very nice. They won't bother you if you don't bother them. A few of the armies actually played badminton with Tok Wan when they passed by his house. (Tok Wan also explained that when he said 'Badminton' he meant hitting the takraw ball with records as racquets haha. Cute)

I wish I could tell you all the tales he told us, coz it was just so interesting. But, it'd be like writing a book. So, maybe next time eh?

Went to see Shahir @ Chico and his band jam practice
Went to see Izzet and his band finish their recording at the studio

But, I didn't get to visit Daddy and his family, though.
Oh well, maybe next weekend. Since his birthday's coming up and being Father's day the next day.

Uh-oh...1.30am. Gotta sleep! Nanti x bangun! Nite2 people! =)

.a very insomnia-ed l e n a.

unknown: yeah.. I never knew the definition of 'perseverance' til I met him lol.

hmm that's a tough one..passion is the core foundation to a relationship. but a relationship without loyalty will lead to mistrust and later...unfaithfulness. but since i am a hopeless romantic..i choose passion =D interesting question btw

igniz: i do too! tok wan's planning on writing a book about his life and distributing it to his grandchildren. can't wait! =)

chico: no problemas~ it was fun. always there to lend a hand for mi amigo! hehe
