I'm sure all of you know that our dear Mr. King of Pop, Michael (Mikaeel) Jackson passed away yesterday due to a cardiac arrest. It was rumored that he actually converted to Islam previously and changed his name to Mikaeel. If it is true, then Alhamdulillah, it is great to have such a man with a big influence on our side. Al-Fatihah. May God bless his soul and give him peace.
He has influenced the whole music industry ever since the Jackson 5.
I'm a fan (not a big one, but a fan nonetheless) of his music, style and groove. His songs such as Thriller, Billy Jean, Rock With You, Beat It, Man In The Mirror, The Way You Make Me Feel, They Don't Care Aout Us, Heal the World and one of my all time faves You Are Not Alone... really bring out the sentimental me. And his moves are so smooth and original I get goosebumps everytime I see him perform. I was actually anticipating his comeback, who knows, I might be able to go to his concert. My big bro - Anwar, went to MJ's concert when he came here years and years ago. Lucky him =(
I can imitate some of his dance moves, but I still can't figure out how he defies the laws of gravity, especially that move in the clip Smooth Criminal. His moonwalk, tak yah cakaplah...too awesome to describe okayy.
All I can say is, what a loss. He has made such an impact to this world. Eventhough he's gone, his music will live on forever.
