It's been weeks since I've written to you, so I just thought I'd drop in and say HI!
It is now, the 11th of January 2009. 2009?!
I'll be 21 this year, and I don't think I look a day over 17 haha. But that's just it I guess. My family has a long history of this youth appearance thingy. Most look 10-20 years younger than their age, which got me thinking - have we found the 'fountain of youth'? There has to be some logical explanation to this.
.which brings me to my topic today.
I just kaput-ed Endocrine module last week. I had a blast with my formative test. Finished my test paper around 20-25mins and left the exam hall 30mins after starting the paper. Wow! So smart wan! Nolah... I just bantai only. I didn't have much time to revise that week 'cause I pretty much slept throughout the days, everyday. So, why linger in the exam hall when you don't really know what to answer? However, I'm not saying that I am completely without knowledge.
I pay attention during lectures (that is, if I'm not snoring away of course hehe), PBL and MES. As much as I hate both PBL and MES, I must admit they are really, really beneficial for us medic students. We have so many topics to cover in like, so little time. So with these two learning systems, it's more like applying our knowledge. We're given triggers, scenarios and cases that are related to the stuff that we learn. AND! since most of our lecturers are so garang...everything that are discussed during those sessions are really, really stuck in my head. So, I don't really need to revise much. That I'd like to take credit for.
I'm a fast learner and I catch up pretty quick. But this only happens when I'm in the mood, I'm attentive and when it gets interesting. You see, I'm the type of person that gets bored easily. Yeah, so that also means I'm a boring person (is there actually a relation between those two? I'd like to think so).
And now, today at exactly 10am my first Neuroscience lecture will begin. I get a lot of feedback from people saying that this is one of the toughest module this semester. Just like what they said about the Musculoskeletal module, of which I thought was one of the most interesting modules so far - other than the Cardiovascular module. So, lesson learnt. Don't really believe what you hear. You'll have this mindset of how hard it will be and you'll start assuming things which is really not good.
Follow the flow, and you'll know where to go. Trust me, been there done that. See how I turned out? Alhamdulillah, OK so far. Hope luck doesn't pack it's bags and jump on the next LRT and make a run for it, eh? LOL.
Hmmmm...I actually forgot what it was I wanted to blog about, but I guess I'll end it here due to my rapid eye movement (5th stage tuhhh) haha. Penatlah balik every weekend, but I enjoy every minute of it. Why? Because every minute of it is well spent with my family. I love them to bits! Especially my dear twin sister Sarah, my bossy big sis Intan and my cacatness of a brother Ritz. Life would mean nothing if it weren't for them. Now, I wanna sleep lah. Class is at 10, I should use my time wisely! hehe
l e n a out~
