What a Conundrum

Dear Blog,

I have been staying over at K2 since my finals started.
So it's been hardcore studying everyday since the Sunday before our first paper - The Gastrointestinal module. Us gals lack sleep and nutrition for the whole entire week. It's either we don't sleep at all, or just a few winks if we ever get tired. So, here's what I think about my performance :

• GIT - sucked
• Endocrine - Not bad
• CNS - suckier than sucked
• Reproductive syst - OK

All in all, this finals examination wasn't an easy one. And I'd like to blame myself for this lack of confidence in answering 'em questions. Both GIT and CNS modules are the toughest, longest and not to mention impossible modules ever existed. Why were both lumped in this semester together? Beats me. I think the lecturers intend to kill us medical students. I mean, think about it. It's not murder and it's legit! I always knew these doctors are smart. Lol.

I have a feeling my grades will be a 2 out of 4, in other words It's a 50-50 chance for me to survive and to pass this semester. I'm both scared and worried about my future right now. If, let's say I didn't pass, I'd have to re-sit the failed paper(s) during my semester break. And if I still don't pass THAT! God forbid, I might have to repeat the whole 2nd year afterwards and see all my friends advance to the 3rd year. That would be very humiliating for me. So in conclusion, I have to work my butt off! hehe.

Living at K2 is fun! I get to hangout with my friends a lot. Ainul, Anis, Chupa, Fatin and Temoh (alphabetical order) are all a bunch-o cool peepz to hangout with. They're funny, caring and hip. And the best part is, they helped me a lot for this final exam. I'd like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for being there for me. I don't know why, but I have been so lost. I can't concentrate well, I get sleepy easily and I don't know what I'm reading. I used to be the one that catches up pretty quickly, but this time I'm the one that keeps on asking my friends to repeat whatever it was they were discussing. Another weird thing is, I rarely participated in those discussions whereas I'm usually the one that asks and explain things.

Could it be that I have lost interest in medicine? Or could it be that I just wore myself down and was unable to bring myself up again? Whatever it is, I should pull myself together before our last paper, the OPSE/OSCE. I hate this practical/clinical exam. It's nerve wrecking.

Anyway, K2 is at Kampung Baru. So, the food that we eat for lunch and dinner is basically from stalls and stuff. Lunch has always been at this place where we buy nasi and lauk. I don't know the name of the place, but we'll just call it tempat makcik or kedai ikan pari as Moh calls it. And for dinner, it's at Syazana. A pretty nice place to hangout at, and it has wireless too, I guess. (p/s: one of the chefs kirim salam. Too bad, not interested. Note to self : wear ugly2 next time haha). The first night, I only drank nescafe. Then I ordered nasi goreng cendawan, omelette with cheese special and finally the mushroom soup with 2 garlic breads. Yumm! I didn't order all that in one day of course, duh~ hehe.

The night our Repro paper finished, Shamil, the gals and I (except Anis) went for a last minute outing to Pavi for a late night movie. (Shhhhh!) Secret-secret. We're not supposed to go out after 12am, but my friends and I were in the mood to do something crazy. We couldn't have done it without Moh (merci Moh!) and our designated driver - Shamil. Thank you casanova!

It was fun. We watched C.O.A.S. and let me tell you, it was hilarious! I recommend it to everyone. Watching it with friends, I'd rate it 8.5. If it were an individual evaluation, 7.5. I wouldn't really call it a chick flick, but then again there's really nothing manly about it. So, kesian Shamil. Too bad, girls rule and boys drool. Haha. Anyway, Uncle Adri and family are going back to Korea tonight, Leanna might be pickin' me up later to go to KLIA and say our last goodbyes. Hope to see them again soon. It's kinda cool y'know? Finally catching up with the Darwins. It's always been the Ariffins before this. Time for a change.

Owh~ Leanna just called me and told me tak sempat if they wanna pick me up. LOL. Fine, I guess I'll just have to study for the upcoming OSPE/OSCE exam later.
