Dear Blog,
I just finished reading my friend, Cik Ain's blog a few minutes ago. I just realized, that I recently blogged a lot about medical things - my life during O&G posting and the doctors there.
How boring.
But, it's not boring, no, not to me. So if you guys think I'm showing off or I whine a lot, or...you know, whatever, I really couldn't care less. Why? Coz it's my blog and you're the one that's reading it in the first place.
So, to top it off, here's some more medical stories in O&G!!! Weeee....enjoy!
Like Cik Ain said, a mixture of emotions. Ones of sadness and happiness.
We just found out that my group - under Dr. Rahana, will be changing from Red Team, to the Orange Team. Following that news, I felt...very sad. Even though I should be happy becoz Orange Team is very lenient with only one Grand Ward round per week, which is on a Friday. Other days, you can just come to the ward late in the morning and not cover beds late at night. We all know how Red Team is with their compulsory, daily, early in the morning rounds.
However, I LOVE being busy! There goes the thrill in O&G =((( Nevermind, everything happens for a reason. And, I think this is a way God is telling me to make time to study. Why? bcoz.....
...My shortcase starts next week. Guess who I got as my examiner? Prof. Z! Hmmmm...Dr. Rahana said Prof. J is a silent killer (Coz one of my friends got him as an examiner and was very worried)..so, I joked "Prof. Z plak? Just a killer?"...that made her laugh, lol.
Now, from the stories I've heard about Prof. Z is, instead of testing us on only Obstetrics cases (like all other normal doctors with a right mind would do, lol. kidding), he will also test us on Gynaecology cases too. He'll definitely bring us to his clinic, and he'll just grab whatever cases he thinks appropriate for him to test us on.
Hmmm...but is it appropriate for us? =((((
Doc R reassured all of her "anak buah" (as she refers us to...that sometimes, when she's in a good mood), she said :
"it's ok. it doesn't matter who you get as an examiner or what cases you get tested on, at the end of the day, if your skills and techniques are correct, there's no reason for you to fail"
Righty-O doc! =) That made me realize that I should start palpating alotta Obs & Gynae cases soon.
So, I messaged my dear friend Masliyana Arip just now. She got Dr. Rahana (my supervisor), and I got hers (Prof. Z). I told her that I'll teach her the techniques that my doc's very particular about and vice versa.
We'll start attacking the patients' abdomens tomorrow at 3pm. ATTACK!!!!! hahaha..
Anyway, on call tonight. At the same time, gotta read up on Pregnancy-induced Hypertension coz Cik Ain will be presenting her longcase based on that. Good Luck Ain! I know you can do it! =))
I'm happy becoz...we're still under Doc R! Even though we're shifting teams, I'm so glad we still got one of the best docs there is! My group and I were planning to give her a good-bye gift during the 8th week (our last week in O&G) coz doc helped us a lot! I mean...all of us just feels so overwhelmed by how dedicated she is in helping us understand what O&G is all about. For that, thank you so much Doc R! We will miss you...(err..ok. this posting's not over yet Farah. get a frip, sheeesh!)
