re-re-read

Dear Blog,

Since JKM = Holiday.

I am doing what it is I do during my hols - READING!

Call me a geek, nerd, or a loser - I couldn't care less.

I love books, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Ok, so currently reading Mitch Albom's Tuesdays With Morrie. This book has great reviews and is highly recommended by friends and family. What the heck, right?

It's never too late to start reading any kind of novels.

I've novel-hopped from children's books to teenagers, young adult to really, really thick novels. Mystery and Romance were the all-time favs. Now, I'm leaning more towards novels that are meaningful. Ones that can make you cry all by your-lonesome-selves. Ones that make you think and reflect about life and all its lessons. Ones that make you cherish having the people you love around you and making you love them even more.

That's why I've started reading Mitch Albom books. I've finished his novel For One More Day and that made me cry. It's really sad. The way it was written, was beautiful. I felt every regret, pain and sorrow the the ex-major league baseball player felt. When he and his mother reunited, it was unbearable. Chest and throat constriction and all, I was determined to finish that thin book in one day (slept at 2.30am, eventhough I had class the next morning).

My friend Moh said Tuesdays With Morrie will make me cry worse, compared to the previous book I read. So, can't wait for that. After this book, it's Five People You Meet In Heaven (or something like that, don't remember). I love JKM posting! I get to read non-medical books again =)

.knowledge is the beacon of hope, l e n a.
