Reasons why I DISLIKE going to family functions :
- they don't know who you are and vice versa.
- even if they do know who you are, they keep asking you how old you are, which school you're in, what field you're pursuing, how many years left....and they ask you the same questions every time you meet them at subsequent gatherings.
- they just LOVE to compare between relatives.
- they always, ALWAYS wanna match-make you with some distant relative.
.when will it end??? l e n a.
p/s: Mommy said, in the future, they'll start comparing all the careers, in-laws, children/grandchildren and great-grandchildren. *gulp!* can't wait for that~ (sarcastically, of course) btw, in case you were wondering why it's always me that's answering these aunts and not my sisters. It's because I'm the only one that's stuck at home! Whereas Jenna's been to India, Melaka and now Ipoh. Sarah's been to Wales. Ritz went to Sendai, Japan for that Homestay program and Anwar's been M.I.A. ever since form 3. I'm the lucky local girl, LOL. I bet those aunts are bored seeing my face already. Well, TOO BAD. I ain't goin' nowhere. ha ha.

eh eh...
1) cakap tak suke comparing, but what do u think you're doin by mentioning about intan, sarah, ridzy, and me punye foreign expeditions? yeah exactly... comparing urself with ur siblings.
2) we're all blessed and privileged in our own different ways. so takyah nak worry with siblings or other fam about who's smarter/better/richer/successful la.
3) clubbing scene = non-halal meat market. fam functions = halal meat market. what do they have in common? ppl trying/being matched up with other ppl.. hehe. so sampai tua unfortunately we're gonna have to put up with fam like that sadly.
i'm not giving you lip or anything but just my thoughts on ur post. =)
1) lol..i wasn't comparing lah. i was only stating the obvious and that i would jump to any opportunity to be able to study abroad as how my siblings had.
2) i know that, i just dislike being "assessed" that way
3)dah lama gila kot tak gi clubbing. anyway, that "scene" is definitely not where i'd look for a husband. i was only joking anyway XD if that relative is cute...i don't mind hahahah
good thing that she interested to take u as in-law...so, bile lgi farah??hahaha..sabr2 ok...next time jmpe auntie tue siapkan text then bgi je sruh dia bca...mcm resume,...haha
hahaha...cool, a resume...good idea! XD
