reliving the nightmare

Dear Blog,

Yep. My friends and I are going to watch Nightmare on Elm Street tonight, a remake of the original movie of which I had nightmares like...never-ending since I was a teeny-weeny girl.

I've read horrible reviews pertaining this recent one, so I'm expecting the worst now LOL. I'm pretty sure it won't affect me in any way like the old ones did. Robert Englund was great at playing Freddy Krueger, he really brought the imaginative (scary even) character to life.

Remember that Freddy only comes to you in your sleep. So, insomnia would be the obvious symptom you'd have after watching the original NoES.

The new Freddy played by Jackie Earle Haley (as Rorschach - Watchmen & as George Noyce - Shutter Island) was criticized to have "looked like a frog wearing a hat" in this remake. But, that's someone else's opinion. I'd like to watch this movie and find out myself the strengths and weaknesses and write my own review (as usual).

Btw, ever wondered why Rorschach was named Rorschach in that movie? It's his mask that constantly changes it's black patterns at the front which resembles a test used in Psychology called the Rorschach test or Rorschach Inkblot Test named after the Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach. You know, it's those flashcards with black blotted patterns we see in Hollywood movies whenever there's someone crazy meeting with a psychiatrist.

What do you see here?

And here?

What about this? (If you see a face of a skull, it means you're crazy)

The kicks of being in Psychiatry Posting *wink2* =))
Owh, I dare not upload any images of our dear friend Freddy...coz I'm a scaredy cat.

frog wearing a hat? i read somewhere that someone said he looked like an asian scarecrow. lol! his eyes were not convincing enough as Freddy Krueger. BOO!!! The old Freddy was scarier!!!

the first picture i saw 2 people interacting with one another, while sitting across from one another, hands outward touching mirror-like.

second picture i saw two people dancing... while each of their hand held onto the motorcycle in between for support... (what the fudge. what have you got me into? lol!)

third picture... i saw a skeleton's face!!! aaaahhhh!!! im crazy!!

GEEK! :P hehehe.
