when white turns gray

Dear Blog,

My white coat, is white no more. My extra pair was lent to a colleague of mine, about a week ago. That was for our PPD camp "white coat ceremony" at Besut, Terengganu. That's over, but I have trouble asking for it back. Am I not assertive enough to ask for something that's rightfully mine? Or am I just this push-over that frequently avoids making a scene over little things? Would you call "asking for my white coat back" a scene? Hardly. I have to wash my white coat soon or it'll turn lapok.

I don't know, maybe she still needs it..but I would really have appreciated it if she took the liberty to give it back to me, rather than wait for me to take it from her. I just don't know how to ask. That's my flaw I guess. I'm a push-over.

When white turns gray (gray or grey? I'm still confused).

It's only Tuesday, but I already can't wait to go back home this weekend. Medic is fun, but sometimes you just have to do something out of the ordinary to make yourself feel more alive...and sane. Abang Hazril promised me and mi hermanas that he'll bring us clubbing at the best place possible, to compensate him not attending our previous club hopping 3 weeks ago with Dina and the Lesbos. That was fun, but this is very promising. Can't wait for that.

Also, Sarah & Izzet invited me to go ice skating with them at Pyramid. I hope I won't be a third wheel, but how I miss ice skating. It was free back in the ol' Fieldstone Crescent. I remember when the teachers used to spray the basketball court with water, and it'll freeze during winter. Ta-daa! Free ice skating for everyone! I also remember the hot cocoas the teachers would make after skating, and I would steal some marshmallows and drop it in my mug full of steaming, creamy, delicious hot cocoa..not caring if they were halal or not (hey, I was a kid laa).

Here, not only do you have to pay for the entrance fee, but to pay for the gloves and a pair of very uncomfortable skates? Geez!

I'm off to eat dinner with my friends at 8. I have a Suara Persiap meeting at 9, and assignments to finish before I'm off to bed.

Suara Persiap - a monthly/semesterly Bulletin made by the editorial board consisting of selected UKM Medical students. Thank you cik Ain, for electing me as your Sub-editor. I will be forever grateful for I really do enjoy these kinds of editorial work. You made my stay at KTDI more bearable, haha.

Anyway, I'm off! For one more day, is always another day. Nevertheless, that day may or may not be just another day.

.a very push-over l e n a.
